Barraba Multi Purpose service is a 22 bed facility, with 16 places allocated for residential aged care. The remaining 6 beds are allocated for acute care. Barraba Multi Purpose Service is part of the Hunter New England Local Health District.

There is an Emergency Department, Pathology, Radiology services as well as Community Health.
