Barraba Potters and Craft Guild

Barraba Potters and Craft Guild is a local co-operative of creative people formed more than 50 years ago. The Guild operates two large studio spaces and a Gallery space in three adjacent historic shops. One studio space is used for various handicrafts such as quilting, patchwork, knitting, spinning, weaving, felting, embroidery, crochet, and general sewing. Members meet Tuesdays and Thursdays every week and every second Sunday. Visitors are welcome as are new members.

A second studio known as “The Claypan” is the domain of the potters. Potters at any level are welcome to get their hands dirty in the Claypan. The Guild’s Potters meet each Monday and Wednesday at the Claypan. The Claypan has pottery wheels and a kiln in their studio space.

The Guild also operates Fuller Gallery to showcase the array of crafts and artworks made by members and other regional artists and artisans. The Gallery also holds regular exhibitions and competitions.

Photography group “The Shutter Bugs” also meet regularly both at the Guild and on field trips.

There are generally volunteers at the Gallery Monday to Saturday and every second Sunday. Other times by arrangement.
