The Barraba Lions Club are hosting the inaugural Carp Muster in March 2026. Held over 3 days, the competition will allow fishers with either rod or bow, attempt to catch the biggest or most carp for a slice of the prize pool. The competition area is inclusive of Split Rock dam and all of the Manilla river and tributaries upstream from the dam wall. Adults and kids of all ages are invited to join, and a dedicated category for bowfishing will be included. Raffles and lucky door prizes drawn at the presentations on Sunday afternoon.
