The village of Upper Horton lies in the picturesque Horton Valley where the river of the same name flows after forming on the foothills of Kaputar above. Around a 30-minute drive from Barraba, you can visit the Upper Horton Sports Club while there and enjoy a drink with the friendly locals.

The Clubhouse has full bar facilities, a gaming area and a restaurant providing fresh, delicious meals using local food. Sports facilities include a tennis court, bowling green, cricket pitch, and rodeo/campdraft grounds.

There’s also an adjoining campground with powered and unpowered sites and amenities.

The Upper Horton is centrally located as a place to stay while visiting attractions such as the Horton Falls, Sawn Rocks and Mount Kaputar National Park. The campgrounds themselves are also a bird watching site with 40 species of birds found on the grounds.
